Why I Use Simulations

Allow students to learn in the same manner as scientists, by actively designing experiments and interpreting data

Constructivist
- Students test their own ideas, if incorrect they see for themselves that they don't work
- Students actively create their own explanations and test them
- Students get immediate feedback on their understanding

Extend learning opportunities to laboratories not normally available
